The White House has posted the transcript of President Biden’s remarks at Renaissance High School in Detroit this past Friday evening. He drew on the Biden/Democrat lawfare campaign waged against President Trump. Having reviewed his purported wrongdoing, he continued:

Trump is even more dangerous now. No, I’m serious. He’s unhinged. He snapped. And he refuses this time around — he — he refuses this time around to say he’ll accept the election — of this election — the results. Can you imagine that?

Look, he says, if he loses, there will be a “bloodbath” when he loses.

And the United States Supreme Court said there’s virtually no limit on the power of a president. Trump said if he wins, he’ll be a dictator on day one. He means it, folks.

We’re not going to let that happen.

AUDIENCE: Nooo —

THE PRESIDENT: Over my dead body will it happen. (Applause.)

Then he turned to the Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025:

Project 2025 will deploy the Department of Justice to prosecute Trump’s energy — Trump e- — Trump’s en- — Trump’s enemies, and that’s a real deal. Trump’s enemies.

Put to one side Biden’s deranged plan to increase housing by imposing price controls on rent and other such schemes discussed in his remarks. Biden appears to be a tad deficient in the self-awareness department. The hypothetical future with Trump sounds bad, but it’s got nothing on the present with Biden.

The assassination attempt on President Trump took place the following day. Having counseled the cooling of political rhetoric on Sunday, Biden pleaded his case with Lester Holt yesterday. NBC News has posted the transcript online here and the video on YouTube here. Biden appears to be on an outing from the nursing home. The interview is full of weird highlights.

LESTER HOLT: Is it acceptable that you have still not heard, at least publicly, from the Secret Service director [Kimberly Cheatle]?

PRESIDENT JOE BIDEN: Oh, I’ve heard from him. I — I’ve —

He reiterates that Trump is “a threat to democracy.”

Biden is irritable and out of it. He reiterates the “bloodbath” lie about Trump. He denies that he himself has engaged in overheated rhetoric. He criticizes Holt for not publicizing Trump’s lies: “Lester, look, why don’t you guys ever talk about the 18 — the 28 lies he told? Where — where are you on this? Why doesn’t the press ever talk about that? Twenty-eight times…”

Where has he been?

“Why don’t you guys ever talk about Trump? Where are ya?”

Where has be been?

When it comes to his pledge to put Trump in the bull’s-eye: “I didn’t say ‘cross-hairs.’”

See the distinction: “I didn’t mean — I didn’t say ‘cross-hairs. I meant ‘bull’s-eye.’” I guess he said what he meant.

“What’s with you guys? Come on, man.”

As they wind up the conversation:

LESTER HOLT: If you were to have — continue to run and — and be officially nominated, what happens if you have another episode like we saw during the debate?

PRESIDENT JOE BIDEN: What happened INAUDIBLE?

In the event you don’t make it to Biden’s parting admonition, here it is: “Sometimes come and talk to me about what we should be talking about.”

Four more years!
