A long-held grudge against the world’s richest man had Steve Bannon vowing to “take this guy down” with an asserted guarantee ahead of Inauguration Day.
“He is a truly evil guy, a very bad guy.”
Despite President-elect Donald Trump’s reminder amid online squabbles that he’d “always” supported “smart people coming into our country, bickering over H-1B visas had not subsided from his allies. Recently, during an interview with the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera translated by Breitbart, the “War Room” host further criticized the immigration program as well as alleged monetary incentives that had Elon Musk, “a truly evil guy,” promoting it to the GOP leader.
“I will have Elon Musk run out of here by Inauguration Day,” Bannon was said to have told the outlet. “He will not have a blue pass to the White House, he will not have full access to the White House, he will be like any other person.”
“He is a truly evil guy, a very bad guy. I made it my personal thing to take this guy down,” continued the former White House chief strategist. The commentator also noted that the financial support of Trump during the campaign had been enough for him to hold off initially. “Before, because he put money in, I was prepared to tolerate it; I’m not prepared to tolerate it anymore.”
On the visas specifically, Bannon told the newspaper, “This thing of the H-1B visas, it’s about the entire immigration system is gamed by the tech overlords, they use it to their advantage, the people are furious,” contending, “76 percent of engineers working in Silicon Valley are non-Americans.”
“No blacks or Hispanics have any of these jobs or any access to these jobs,” added the host.
Meanwhile, Trump, who specifically left some visas unaffected during the government’s response to COVID in 2020 so as not to further impact the supply chain, recently made clear he wasn’t being influenced concerning the program.
“I didn’t change my mind. I’ve always felt we have to have the most competent people in our country,” he told reporters. “We need smart people coming into our country. We need a lot of people coming in. We’re going to have jobs like we’ve never had before.”

Bannon’s continued criticism of Musk lumped in other influential donors when he contended, “Peter Thiel, David Sachs, Elon Musk, are all white South Africans.”
“He should go back to South Africa. Why do we have South Africans, the most racist people on Earth, white South Africans, we have them making any comments at all on what goes on in the United States?” he asked. “We have been fighting this fight for ten years. We are going to expose the entire corruption of the American system, of how money controls everything and hopefully, we’ll inspire you in Italy to wake up.”
Having previously accused the SpaceX CEO of being “owned lock, stock, and barrel by the Chinese Communist Party, and he acts like it,” Bannon insisted to the newspaper, “He went out of his way to mock our movement as racist and retards, and he lost. We blew him out of the water. He won’t fight. He’s got the maturity of a little boy.”
“He will do anything to make sure that any one of his companies is protected or has a better deal or he makes more money. His aggregation of wealth, and then — through wealth — power: that’s what he’s focused on,” added the host who said, “What’s not positive is when all of a sudden he tries to put his half-baked ideas which are really about the implementation of techno-feudalism on a global scale. I don’t support that and we’ll fight it.”
Regarding allegations of his being influenced by the CCP, Musk previously reacted with a barb against Bannon akin to the commentator’s own, “I used to think Bannon was smart & evil, but now I realize I was wrong about the first part.”
