President Biden offered up a remarkable response when asked by a reporter if he could expand on other pardons and commutations he may be considering before leaving office.
“Well, the answer is no, because [of] two things,” the president replied. “One is that it depends on some of the language and expectations that Trump broadcasts in the last couple days here as to what he’s going to do.”
In effect, Biden suggested he could pardon anyone Trump may be critical of prior to retaking office.
Joe Biden says he’s going to pardon people based on who Trump criticizes.
This is one of the most insane things Biden has ever said.

“The idea that he would punish people for not adhering to what he thinks should be policies related to his wellbeing is outrageous,” Biden rambled on, somewhat incoherently. “But there’s still considerations [for] some folks, but no decisions.”
Expect younger brother, Jim Biden, who was thick as thieves with Hunter Biden in selling the then-vice president’s influence on the foreign market, to be at the top of any such list.
Asked if he’d pardon himself, Biden replied: “What would I pardon myself for? I had no contemplation of pardoning myself. I didn’t do anything wrong.”
President Biden’s comment on Trump caught the attention of Fox News host Laura Ingraham, who posted on X: “That we survived as a country these past four years with this man in the White House is a miracle. Listen carefully to what he said when asked about his pardons.”
Here’s a quick sampling of other responses to the story, as seen on X:
“The Idea” to pardon people based on who Trump criticizes is what is OUTRAGEOUS!

Biden doesn’t care about his legacy or the damage he’s doing to American institutions.

On this statement alone anything Biden signs should be thrown out

Pardons should not be allowed in cases where people are not charged with anything yet! That should be illegal.

Seems like a great legal argument if Trump’s administration might want to test the pardon powers as used by Biden.

He is basically openly admitting he is corrupt. It is about the law and criminal behavior, not what Trump thinks. What a stupid thing to say.
