EVERYBODY attended the late former President Jimmy Carter’s funeral Wednesday except for one person: Former first lady Michelle Obama.

All five living presidents — Joe Biden, Donald Trump, Barack Obama, George W. Bush, and Bill Clinton — attended, as did their wives.

But not Michelle:

Why not?

Michelle Obama had a scheduling conflict … and is presently still in Hawaii on an extended holiday vacation,” CNN reported, citing her advisers.

But very few people believe her advisers, especially since Michelle would have had to sit by President-elect Trump had she attended.

“Michelle Obama would have been seated next to former President Donald Trump, who instead sat next to former President Barack Obama,” Politico notes. “The two chatted for several minutes before the funeral began.”

“Mrs. Obama sends her thoughts and prayers to the Carter family, and everyone who loved and learned from the remarkable former President,” Michelle’s spokesperson told the outlet.

Over on Fox News, “The Five” co-host Jesse Watters speculated late Wednesday that Michelle skipped the funeral because either she didn’t want to sit by Trump, she was having marital issues with Obama, or she was getting surgery.

Listen:

“President dies, everyone in the world shows up, and she doesn’t break her vacation,” he said. “It’s not like she doesn’t have access to a jet. Something is going on.”

“Let’s speculate. It’s either surgery. That was my least controversial thing. She will not sit close to the dictator. Or there’s trouble in paradise between Barack and Michelle. I’ve heard things,” he added.

Fellow co-host Greg Gutfeld then piped up to suggest that they consult someone named “Mike” — which, incidentally, is what conspiracy theorists believe Michelle’s real name is (they think she’s trans).

As for the public, many of them have shared Watter’s speculation, with some also adding that Michelle had had plenty of time to resolve her “scheduling conflict” if she’d really wanted to.

The funny thing is that, supposing she did skip the funeral because of her hatred of Trump, her husband had no issues getting along with him.

Indeed, watch the two chatting and laughing it up together in the clip below from Fox News’ “Jesse Watters Primetime“:

Despite not attending Carter’s funeral, Michelle and her husband did issue a joint statement on Instagram after his death.

“President Carter taught all of us what it means to live a life of grace, dignity, justice, and service,” the statement read. “Michelle and I send our thoughts and prayers to the Carter family, and everyone who loved and learned from this remarkable man.”
