Baltimore Ravens rookie offensive tackle Roger Rosengarten approached Cleveland Browns star Myles Garrett with a humble request for his jersey during their final regular season game this past weekend.

The Ravens easily dispatched the Browns by a score of 35-10. Baltimore now heads to the playoffs with a 12-5 record to face the Pittsburgh Steelers in a Wild Card game.

The Browns fell to 3-14 and will head into a disappointing off-season, something their fans are accustomed to.

While the Ravens are clearly the superior team, Rosengarten, their rookie second-round draft pick offensive tackle, recognizes his place in the pecking order when it comes to Garrett, a six-time Pro Bowler and 2023 Defensive Player of the Year.

Heartwarming Exchange Between Garrett And Rosengarten

Garrett and Rosengarten engaged in a heartwarming moment captured during their game. Now, don’t get me wrong with the aforementioned “pecking order.” Indeed, the Ravens tackle is no slouch.

Rosengarten was named to the 2024 CBS All-Rookie First Team. He’s part of an offensive line gelling for what is considered one of the best offenses in the league.

However, it’s the way he presented a jersey request to Garrett at the end of a play that showed how humble he is.

“I know I’m a nobody, but if I could get that jersey after?” Rosengarten requested.

“Hey, you’re in the league. Y’all winning games. Y’all looking great. You ain’t never a nobody,” Garrett replied. “I got you.”

Simply amazing stuff.

Nice Moment, But Garrett Has Had Some Moments

I wonder what Garrett’s response would have been if, say, Mason Rudolph asked him for a jersey exchange.

You might recall that Garrett ripped the former Steelers quarterback’s helmet off after a play had been completed during a game against Pittsburgh in November 2019 and swung it at his head.

Garrett claimed that Rudolph had used a slur prior to the brawl.

Rudolph vehemently denied the accusation and was exonerated after the NFL investigated the incident and found no evidence to support Garrett’s accusation.

Earlier this season, Garrett defended quarterback Deshaun Watson from fans who cheered an injury by insisting that Watson “does pretty much everything right” because he’s “been a model citizen.”

Watson has been accused of sexual assault and/or misconduct by over 20 women. He had two dozen lawsuits filed against him by women who accused him of inappropriate behavior. Watson was suspended in 2022 for 11 games by the NFL.

So much for being a “model citizen.”
