Well, that didn’t take long.

After weeks of Democrats and their media allies crying about “President Elon Musk” having too much influence over American politics, California Dem. Rep. Eric Swalwell showed up to ask the tech titan to do the work the government should do.

Footage of the devastating wildfires raging across Southern California has left Americans both horrified and furious over the blue state’s failed leadership.  X CEO and DOGE co-chair Elon Musk has been closely watching the devastating events unfold on his free speech platform and offered a critical service to victims of the fires.

In response to a live news clip stating the broadcast wouldn’t be possible without the use Starlink, Musk announced on Thursday: “Space X will provide free Starlink terminals to affected areas in LA tomorrow morning.”

Boom! That’s how it’s done.

But, that might not be good enough for Swalwell who on Wednesday popped up with a suspicious ask:

“I’ll use my post on Homeland Security Committee to have an open mind re: concerns over fire cause/response,” Swalwell said in response to a video of the fires posted by Musk. “Can you use this platform and your money to help poorer families who lost their homes/workplace?”

Needless to say, Swalwell’s lame and back-handed offer to have an “open mind” in exchange for Musk’s money didn’t sit well with many:

Excellent question!

Meanwhile, X users praised Musk for doing the work the government never seems to get done:

It’s likely coming.

Thank God.
