There’s positive news with President-elect Donald Trump taking office shortly, and now there’s good news for our neighbors to the north as well, with Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau saying he will be resigning.

Over the holidays, I’ve also had a chance to reflect and have had long talks with my family about our future. Throughout the course of my career, any success I have personally achieved has been because of their support and with their encouragement. So last night over dinner, I told my kids about the decision that I’m sharing with you today. I intend to resign as party leader, as prime minister, after the party selects its next leader through a robust, nationwide, competitive process.

Translation: He was finally forced to face a little reality, with people in his own party speaking out against him and the country moving to the right after they’ve seen how horrible he and the liberals have been on everything.

As we reported, Elon Musk had a few things to say when Trudeau responded about not becoming the “51st state” in response to a jibe from Trump.

BREAKING: Trudeau Makes Big Announcement About His Future

But Musk wasn’t quite done with Trudeau yet. He posted a video that perfectly, hilariously sums up the failed Canadian politician, with a little help from President Donald Trump, using Trudeau’s resignation remarks.

Now, that’s an instant classic, a proper send-off, and it’s truly funny.

Who knew Trump was such a brilliant violinist, too? Yes, fact-checkers, we know it’s not real. Can’t we have some fun? And the piece that he plays is so suitably whiny, perfect for Justin.

Just as with Joe Biden, with Trudeau, it’s all about his own sadness. He’s almost pouting, like, “How could you reject me, you mean people?” He’s still not registering how much he’s damaged his nation or how much people despise him in his own country. And I can still see him possibly playing games over his resignation if he isn’t happy about what comes next, because that’s him.

Just like here with Trump, in Italy with Giorgia Meloni, and in Argentina with Javier Milei, people have had enough of elitist liberals who don’t seem to care about the people, and they’re not going to stand for it anymore. It’s a wave that’s catching on, and it’s a good thing for the whole world. Because, Lord knows, we could use more common sense when we’ve had so little of it for so long.

As we reported, Trump put Trudeau over a grill when he visited down in Mar-a-Lago, and the whole thing about “the 51st state” has a greater point of us not always just continually shelling out to protect others or let even friends run over us.

What a novel thought — a leader who puts the interests of his country first and thinks proactively, not just reactively.
