Longtime liberal comedian Whitney Cummings has joined the ranks of converts who’re now preaching against the Democrat Party.

Cummings, who first went rogue on New Year’s Eve with a hilarious comedy rant about Democrats, doubled down on the latest episode of her “Good For You” podcast that aired this past Sunday.

This time she went in especially hard on Democrats for being such hypocritical censors and control freaks.

“I’ve always thought of myself as a pretty liberal person, you know, but I don’t think the left is as liberal as it used to [be],” she said. “It’s like the left became the party of censorship and my body my choice, but you have to take this vaccine, and my body my choice, but you don’t have a choice in your candidate.”

The latter remark about having no choice “in your candidate” referenced Democrats’ refusal to hold a primary election after President Joe Biden dropped out of last year’s election.

“Like, I’m not an expert on politics, which is why I’ve always said I’m not weighing in on it, but I am an expert on hypocrisy,” she continued. “I was raised by hypocrites, I’ve dated them, and I know hypocrisy when I see it.”

She went on to claim that she doesn’t actually pick sides and has always just been in the business of calling out hypocrisy “when I see it.”

“To me, I didn’t think I was being political,” she said. “I thought I was just pointing out hypocrisies across the board.”

As to why she therefore didn’t poke fun at President-elect Donald Trump during her New Year’s Eve CNN appearance, she said it would have been an overdone and expected cheap shot.

“That’s hacky to do — everyone’s done that and to do it on CNN, that’s home court advantage, cheap shot,” she explained. “There’s nothing risky or dangerous about that. It bothers me when comics say stuff that’s self-righteous and they get applause for being fake brave when they’re not doing it in a situation that’s brave at all.”

Whereas her decision to trash-talk the Democrats on CNN, a leftist network, was both stunning and brave.

In lashing out against the Democrat Party, Cummings joins the ranks of those like fellow comedian Jim Gaffigan, who recently admitted that comedians were pressured to avoid criticizing Vice President Kamala Harris during last year’s elections.

“What I thought was interesting about this election — maybe because it was so important, maybe because it was such a short election for Kamala  — that people were like ‘don’t criticize her,’” he said. “That’s actually bad to have that approach. And I think in hindsight, people feel that way.”

It’s not just in comedy where the conversions are happening. Over on the Internet, the leftist talk show known as “The Young Turks” has become increasingly more conservative as the years have passed.

So much so, in fact, that this week co-host Ana Kasparian held nothing back in blaming Democrats — and only Democrats — for the deadly wildfires currently engulfing southern California.

“CA, and especially LA, is controlled by Democrats,” she tweeted Wednesday. “THEY are responsible. No more passing the buck.”

As for Cummings, she’s a longtime California resident who’s now considering fleeing the state — surprise, surprise — because of the badly managed wildfires that are destroying homes nonstop.

“LAFD and just all firefighters, thank you,” she wrote on Instagram after being evacuated from her home. “Gonna be a wild couple of days. As I seriously consider moving out of California, I remember these heroes don’t think that way.”
