Ladies and gentlemen, I don’t know why I have to stress this particular point at all, but when the crossing gates are down at a railroad intersection you should never try to drive around them and get through.
This Miami driver tried it, and look how it turned out for him:
This happened around 10 this morning, and had the driver hesitated in the slightest there, he’d likely be no longer with us.
A quick message from the Brightline, the high-speed passenger train running from Miami to Orlando:
Florida drivers will tell you, there’s no beating the Brightline. And this isn’t the first time this has happened. A few weeks ago, a firetruck met the train for an accident.
That crash led to 15 injuries, and four firefighters being placed on administrative leave.
So Florida drivers, please stop trying to beat the Brightline. It’s a battle you’ll never win, and it could take your life!
