Karoline Leavitt, a spokeswoman for President-elect Trump, on Monday called President Biden’s decision to ban oil drilling along most U.S. coastlines disgraceful and signaled that Trump will change course.

“This is a disgraceful decision designed to exact political revenge on the American people who gave President Trump a mandate to increase drilling and lower gas prices,” she said in a statement. “Rest assured, Joe Biden will fail, and we will drill, baby, drill.”

Biden’s ban will cover about 625 million acres of ocean.
