Little noticed in the U.S. is the current precarious situation in South Korea where the outcome of bloody fighting in 1950 – 1953 to keep South Korea free from Communist control hangs in the balance. The Korean War is not over, it is actually in a long-standing Armistice (there has been plenty of cross-border violence and intrigue since 1953). South Korea is one of our closest Allies, Treaty Partners, and Economic friends. There is a strong and historic relationship between the U.S. and South Korea.
South Koreans are in the fight of their lives as they attempt to beat down a coup with distinct tentacles to North Korea, Globalists, and China. The leadership of the opposition “Democratic Party” of South Korea is taking a cue from the American Democrat Party and waging lawfare against the populist, conservative People’s Power Party (PPP) to characterize the Martial Law declared by President Yoon Suk Yeol on December 3/4, 2024, as an “Insurrection”. Sound familiar? Martial Law has a very bad history in South Korean national psyche, but the corrupt legacy media is not telling the whole truth on what is going on by any stretch.
South Korean Democrat Party Leader found guilty of Election Malfeasance
The Democratic Party Leader in the National Assembly is Lee Jae-myung. The Democratic Party controls almost 200 seats in the 300 seat, National Assembly, the unicameral legislative body of South Korean Government. The Presidency is held by the People’s Power Party and Yoon who was impeached on December 14, 2024. Yoon has been impeached but is not technically removed from office. Legacy corrupt media has been focused on the Martial Law declared by Yoon, but they are leaving out key parts of the story.
What they are not sharing is that Lee Jae-myung, the Democrat Party Leader, has some serious legal issues on-going. Lee was just convicted on November 15, 2024, for violating Election Laws in regards to false statements he made on a land development project while he was mayor of a South Korean City. In addition, Lee is awaiting sentencing on a perjury matter. This is rarely reported in Legacy Media. These matters could keep Lee out of the next Presidential Election that was scheduled for 2027. What is also not reported about President Yoon and Martial Law, is that Martial Law was declared so that President Yoon could legally conduct a raid on the Korean National Election Commission that appears to have about the same legitimacy and trustworthiness of the Fulton County, Georgia, Election Commission.
South Korea is experiencing a full-scale assault by Chinese malign influence operations, covert Chinese Police Stations, and a Deep State attack on anyone questioning the integrity of South Korean elections. The parallels between what South Korea has been facing from their Democrat Party seem uncannily like what Americans have faced from the American Democrat Party. No conspiracies, but no coincidences.
South Korean Citizens Rally to Stop the Steal
After Yoon’s impeachment, an acting President was named from the PPP, Han Duck-soo. Han was impeached on December 27, 2024, and a new acting President from the PPP was appointed, Choi Sang-mok. But none of this has satisfied the majority Democrat Party in the National Assembly who are seeking to have the PPP removed from the Presidency and have Lee from the Democrat Party named as President. These are uncharted waters in South Korea with little Constitutional guidance on process and procedures in such a situation (yes South Korea has a Constitution).
The Democratic Party is now trying to arrest Yoon at the Presidential Residence in the Hannam District of Seoul. The problem is he is being charged with inciting an “Insurrection” (once again, sound familiar?) and the police body called the Corruption Investigation Office (CIO) working for the Democrats have no jurisdiction on “Insurrection” issues. 100s of thousands of South Koreans have been rallying to “Stop the Steal” and “Save South Korea”. The CIO Police were blocked by citizens and the Presidential Security Force from seizing Yoon. Yoon is asserting immunity from an insurrection charge due to the standing power of a President to declare Martial Law.
Populists in South Korea may remember Biden’s Coup against Bolsonaro in Brazil
One of the basic questions is that since South Korea and America have such a historic and close relationship, why did all these events since November catch American leadership off guard? Why was the US Ambassador, Philip S. Goldberg and United States Forces Korea Commander General Xavier T. Brunson left out in the dark? If they were clueless and taken by surprise, this speaks volumes about President Yoon not sharing information with them. Simply put, perhaps it is the experience that Jair Bolsonaro, former President of Brazil, now under indictment, faced when the Biden Team ran a coup against him to ensure a leftist Globalist took over Brazil.
Mike Benz has shown in detail the Biden Deep State Cabal that undermined Bolsonaro. Mike is a former U.S. Department of State Senior Official with first-hand knowledge of what the Biden Team and the CIA did to Bolsonaro who has now been indicted for staging a coup to maintain his Presidency after the fraudulent November 2022. Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, the leftist, took the Brazilian election with the help of the Biden/CIA/Globalist cabal and China benefitted. Sounds exactly like what the Democrat Party tried to do to President-Elect Trump after the stolen 2020 election. We seem to have an established trendline of Democrat behavior in the U.S. and around the world. Populists like Trump, Yoon, Bolsonaro, Milei (Argentina), Bukele (El Salvador), Farage (the United Kingdom), Wilders (The Netherlands), and others are all threats to the Globalists and the top apex predator to individual rights and freedoms, the Chinese Communists. Perhaps President Yoon and the PPP are waiting for a US President that South Korea can trust. The South Koreans just need to hold on a few more days until Donald J. Trump is in office.
