Angelina Jolie Lashes Out at “Liars” After Her Divorce From Brad Pitt

Earlier this week, we reported that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt had finalized their divorce after a grueling eight year legal battle. Now, Jolie has broken her silence for the first time since then to slam “liars.”

Jolie Despises ‘Liars’

While being interviewed by W Magazine, Jolie was asked what her “pet peeves” are.

“So many things. But my pet peeve is somebody who is a liar,” replied Jolie, 49.

Though Jolie didn’t mention any specific names, she proceeded to double down.

“Somebody who feels a need to not say the truth or what they want, what they feel,” Jolie continued. “There’s a big version of that — and I’m not trying to be heavy about it — but people who say one thing and mean another, who aren’t completely who they are. I think a lot of people don’t say what they mean.”

Some saw this as a jab at Pitt, 61. Indeed, it came just days after Jolie and Pitt finalized their divorce. She had initially filed back in 2016, citing irreconcilable differences at the time. While they are still fighting it out in court over their French winery Chateau Miraval, they were able to come to an agreement on divorce terms and they each signed off on it.

Jolie ‘Is Exhausted’

“More than eight years ago, Angelina filed for divorce from Mr. Pitt,” Jolie’s lawyer James Simon said afterwards. “She and the children left all of the properties they had shared with Mr. Pitt, and since that time she has focused on finding peace and healing for their family.”

“This is just one part of a long ongoing process that started eight years ago,” he continued. “Frankly, Angelina is exhausted, but she is relieved this one part is over.”

A source close to Jolie spoke out to address the divorce finalization as well.

“She doesn’t speak ill of [Pitt] publicly or privately,” the insider claimed. “She’s been trying hard to be light after a dark time.”

Pitt and Jolie are parents to six children: Maddox, 22, Pax, 20, and Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 18, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 16. Zahara, Shiloh and Vivienne have all dropped Pitt from their last names in the years since the split.

It’s also been reported that Maddox and Pax have no contact with their father. In fact, it’s believed that Knox and Vivienne are the only two children who still speak to him, although they haven’t been photographed with him in recent years.

Pitt Was Eager To Finalize Divorce

Sources close to Pitt claim that he was eager to settle his divorce so that he can marry his new love Ines de Ramon, 32. Pitt began dating the Los Angeles jewelry designer two years ago, and they’ve since moved in together.

“They are looking to get married in the next year and Brad has settled because he wants to keep his children on side for his new marriage to go ahead,” one insider said. “Apparently Ines is keen to have children too and pressured him to get it all sorted out as soon as possible.”

“Brad will be relieved that he can finally move on and marry again. He has wanted his divorce settled long before now but he believes Angelina has been dragging her feet,” the source continued. “Angelina will argue she has been fighting for the best deal for their family, but whatever the truth, it ultimately clears the path for him walking down the aisle with Ines.”

This has clearly been a very messy situation for everyone involved. Now that the divorce is finalized, here’s hoping Jolie, Pitt, and their children can all move on with their lives.
