We’re counting down the days now until Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are out the door. The prospect of seeing them off and never having to deal with them again is great.

But Harris still has a few duties left to perform before she exits stage left, hopefully never to hold national office again.
She has to certify the election in a few days, and it should be fascinating to see what, if any, objections there might be. But on Friday, her role was to swear in senators.
As we noted earlier, the Senate session didn’t go well, with Kamala stumbling over the Pledge of Allegiance at the outset. She seemed not to know the words.

But that wasn’t the only Kamala moment earning some negative attention. There was also her swearing-in of Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT). I don’t know what she had or what she took before she swore him in, but she was clearly feeling her oats, and she took a nasty, unprofessional, passive-aggressive swipe at him, considering the context.
“Stand right here. Although that is not your nature to just stand where you’re told to stand, but give it a try,” she cracked. Now, that’s pretty rude. This is supposed to be where you swear them in and congratulate them. So much for decorum, especially after the way that the Democrats have historically treated Bernie Sanders, which is to say, not good.

But it’s also a metaphor for the Democrats in general, although I don’t think Harris realized it. This is how they treat their members — do what we say, follow our directives — or you suffer the anger of the Borg.
Sanders seemed a bit shocked by it, as well he should be. But once he was sworn in, he had a bit of a clap back, “I am impressed you memorized that.”
Well, it wouldn’t be impressive for any normal person, but for the word salad queen, she probably had to work a little harder at it. She acknowledged she has it memorized because she’s had to do it many times now.
And what was that handshake? It looked like the start of a wrestling match — can we say awkward?
But Bernie takes it when the Democrats stomp on him, when he shouldn’t. He should fight back and out all their nonsense more publicly.
Kamala’s remarks might be a tight call for “nastiest/most out of place Congressional moment” on the day — along with the Virgin Islands Delegate Stacey Plaskett’s fit over not being allowed to vote in the Speaker vote. That’s not a surprise; that’s part of the system, so she was just being obnoxious. She just wanted to make a scene. That’s where Democrats are at his point, tossing tantrums when they can’t get what they want.

Kamala Harris is just not a very classy person, and this is just another reminder of how much we dodged a bullet when the American people wisely voted for Donald Trump.
Now we have a real opportunity, instead of a further descent into more leftism, if the Republicans can get together and do the right thing for the American people.
