Turns out 2025 looks an awful lot like 2024 in one fascinating way.

Media outlets still haven’t learned the lesson of the presidential election. If corporate media reporters ignore select stories Americans will find them elsewhere.

And, in turn, keep drifting away from those calcified outlets.

Case in point? Whitney Cummings’ brutal roast during CNN’s New Year’s Eve coverage.

The veteran comic unleashed a crush of topics during the network’s holiday gala, including President Joe Biden’s frail mental and physical state. It’s a fact the corporate press ignored and/or downplayed for four-plus years.

They even sheepishly admit it now, pretending as if they didn’t notice Biden’s decline.

We did.

Americans saw clip after clip of Biden stumbling, bumbling and barely putting cogent thoughts together. Legacy media outlets told us he was fine, branding indisputable proof of his decline as “cheap fakes.”

So Cummings let CNN have it.

“The 2024 election fried our brains. The Democrats couldn’t hold a primary because they were too busy holding a body upright,” she said. “It was amazing that the pro-choice party didn’t give their voters one when it came to their presidential candidate.”

“Kamala was forced on us so hard you’d think she was patented by Pfizer,” she added.

Brutal. Accurate. Funny. Sad.

That’s what satirists are supposed to say. Instead, we have regime comedians like Stephen Colbert who protect their party at all costs.

Later, Cummings torched another “off-limits” target – First Son Hunter Biden. His shenanigans similarly got swept under the rug by late-night comedians and “Saturday Night Live.”

With one pinpoint line Cummings told the scorching truth.

“The Dallas Cowboys cheerleader doc showed the girls being treated horribly, underpaid, crying. I thought I’d opened a video on Hunter Biden’s laptop.”

This all happened live during CNN’s holiday coverage. The press bent over backward to cover the gala, reporting on trivial stories like Anderson Cooper taking a stiff drink.

Stop. The. Presses.

These hot-button gags got similar coverage, right? CNN? The Washington Post? What about entertainment news outlets? Surely, they shared these barbs with their audience?

No.

A Google News search for “Whitney Cummings” this morning found zero coverage of these quips from The Hollywood Reporter, The Wrap, Variety, WaPo, CNN, The New York Times and more.

Deadline did post two stories about Cummings’ appearance but avoided the jokes listed above. It must have slipped their minds even though the barbs went viral.

The corporate media’s bias went nuclear in recent years, in reaction to Donald Trump’s political ascendency. Their extreme partisanship includes inconvenient stories they want to bury at all costs. That can’t be done any longer.

The stories catch fire on X. They fuel YouTube video podcasts. Sites like Breitbart News hunt them down and share for all to see.

The new year won’t change corporate media. It’s another reason they’re in for a frightening 2025.

NOTE: CNN hoped to similarly bury its own coverage. This expansive highlight reel of its New Year’s Eve gala leaves Cummings out.
