It’s been a busy, concerning day with the terrorist attack in New Orleans that occurred in the early morning hours on Bourbon Street. A Ford F-150 Lighting truck rammed into the crowd, killing at least 10 and injuring many more. A man who was identified as 42-year-old Shamsud Din Jabbar, a U.S. citizen and Army veteran, then jumped out of the truck and began firing at people. The police then shot and killed him.

The truck had an ISIS flag on the back. IEDs were also found in the truck and two other places. The police also believe there are other suspects for whom they are looking, so that raises the stakes and a lot of scarier possibilities.
Just hours later a Tesla Cybertruck exploded right in front of the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas, and the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is now investigating that explosion as a possible act of terror. LVMPD and the Clark County Fire Department held a briefing on what they know so far in the case. The explosion happened at 8:40 a.m. PST.
The Las Vegas Sheriff announced that a deceased person (presumably the driver) was found in the Cybertruck that was exploded at Trump Hotel. Seven people suffered minor injuries.

The person in the 2024 Tesla Cybertruck was killed. Seven other people suffered minor injuries, and two were taken to the hospital for treatment.
The FBI also weighed in, but they said they don’t have a lot of answers yet.
“I know you have a lot of questions,” Jeremy Schwartz, acting FBI Special Agent in Charge for the Las Vegas office, said at the news conference. “We don’t have a lot of answers.”
