Outgoing Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg was mocked as a fool after his effort to burnish the legacy of his soon-to-be ex-boss, suggesting that President Joe Biden’s accomplishments should be viewed in a historic context.

On New Year’s Eve, Buttigieg, who only got his important job because he’s openly gay, posted a video to his X account hailing Biden and fellow DEI hire Kamala Harris for their “Big Deal” for infrastructure and ludicrously claiming that their work will one day be viewed as a titanic achievement, much like the Hoover Dam.

“I’m confident that a century from now, future Americans will look back on the work we’ve done—much as we look at the Hoover Dam—and see how the Biden-Harris Administration’s “Big Deal” for infrastructure made big things possible,” he wrote.

“President Biden arrived in office with a sober recognition of the scale of the problems our country was facing,” he began in the video, going on to pat himself on the back for fixing post-COVID supply chain issues.

X users set the record straight, ridiculing “Mayor Pete” over his asinine spin.

Former mayor of the college town of South Bend, IN, Buttigieg was derisively nicknamed “Pothole Pete” for his inability to oversee even the most simple road repairs. Yet, he was tapped by Biden to head up the department responsible for the entire country’s transportation infrastructure where he has been a miserable failure.

It’s inconceivable that any honest version of history will remember the Biden administration as anything more than an incompetent DEI clown show and all of America will soon rejoice when the circus packs up and leaves in two and a half weeks.
