After the White House posted a statement, President Biden — “President Biden” — emerged to give vacuous remarks on the terrorist murder spree in New Orleans yesterday along with a mention of the Las Vegas incident outside the Trump International Hotel.

Biden himself was on rest and recreation at Camp David. Biden has officially spent some 40 percent of his time on office on vacation. Yesterday somebody woke the president and asked him to shuffle out to read a statement. Biden dutifully slurred his way through the remarks. “No one should jump to conclusions,” Biden instructed as the authorities search for the meaning of the ISIS flag found in the terrorist’s vehicle.

We are to take comfort in the fact that various unnamed officials including the Secretary of Homeland Security are on the case. The DHS Secretary is Alejandro Mayorkas, the man in charge of border security over the past four years.

The “situation is very fluid,” Biden reported, and then searched for text in the notebook in front of him as a mechanical malfunction briefly interrupted Biden’s reading. The implicit message seems to be that we have a waxworks dummy pretending to hold down the fort until January 20.
