There are many reasons to hate influencers, but this one ranks near the top.

A 19-year-old Minnesota woman, Svea Lynn Snickers, blew through a stop sign back in September without touching the brakes. She was going 50 miles per hour when she rammed her RAV4 into a school bus full of kids, sending it rolling into a ditch. Several of the children were injured, along with the bus driver.

What was the reason she missed the stop sign?

In an interview with state troopers, Snickers said she had been on her phone in the moments leading up to the crash. At first she said she was sending a voice text on Snapchat but then admitted to recording a video. A search warrant of her cellphone found she had taken a screenshot in the app ‘seconds before a 911 call was initiated.’

Yep, she was recording herself in the car!

You know the type:

Five children suffered broken bones or concussions, and medical reports indicate several others experienced bruising, cuts and pain.

Snickers’s distracted driving has led her to five felony counts and 17 gross misdemeanor counts of criminal vehicular operation.

I suppose this wasn’t Snickers’s idea of becoming internet famous.
