I wrote earlier on a truly great summation of the failure of the anti-Trump “resistance” by journalist/writer Ross Barkan.
Their whole focus for almost ten years has been destroying President Donald Trump. They spend all their time talking against Trump, most of it not based in reality and/or laden with Trump Derangement Syndrome, and none about the failures of the Democratic Party. Then, they find themselves at a loss as to why he won. Big surprise that the American people don’t believe he’s Hitler. They do know they had it better under him than under Biden.

But the anti-Trump resistance can’t deal with their loss. They can’t deal with the fact that after all their efforts, Trump is more accepted and powerful than ever, not just because his policies make more sense but in part because the left/resistance has become so insane. All their efforts only made him stronger.
Anti-Trump columnist Jen Rubin had a conversation with George Conway on her podcast that was a great example of this insanity. They were talking about why ABC would settle with Trump over the George Stephanopoulos comments. Watch as she completely misses the point of the issue, while falsely attacking Trump supporters into the bargain.
Washington Post columnist Jennifer Rubin insinuates that MAGA voters are illiterate:
Jennifer Rubin: “Why would ABC , Disney, who has more money than God, settle with Donald Trump?”
George Conway: “I honestly don’t know.”

“Why would ABC, Disney, the Mouse, who has more money than God, settle with Donald Trump?” Rubin asked.
George Conway replied, “I honestly don’t know.”

A big, simple answer, guys? They were in the wrong. They had Stephanopoulous making false statements about Trump, and had they gone to trial, likely even more would have come out. That’s the reality. But Rubin and Conway don’t want to deal with that reality because it clashes with their Trump hate.
But skipping over that reality, she speculated on one reason why she thought the media was being so “namsy pamsy” about Trump.
“They are convinced if they would only move a little bit to the right all those MAGA readers out there — now, you’ll note the contradiction in terms — MAGA, readers — would pick up The Washington Post and they would have more readers. What is the logical fallacy here? Yes, ‘reader.’ There is nothing that the Washington Post could possibly do that would have those people take out a subscription. But they’re convinced they’re in there some place.”
Rubin thinks she’s being funny, but she’s just an unhappy, fussy character, like Conway. They can’t even be bothered to read the facts in the ABC case to understand why they settled (or they’re just ignoring them), so maybe the reading problem is theirs? The problem with people on the left is that, just as you see here, they don’t read/accept anything that runs against their view of the world from their bubble.

This is just a continuation of her “hate on Trump supporters.” Here’s an earlier clip of her talking about how the Democrats need to reach out to people more. She then claims Trump is the president of the ignorant, the president of the disengaged.
Washington Post opinion columnist claiming America suffers from an ‘epidemic of ignorance’:
Jen Rubin: “He is the president of the ignorant. Democrats have to work on making them less ignorant.”Democrats: ‘Am I so out of touch? No, it’s the voters who are wrong!’ pic.twitter.com/WkPnGLM21b

Is she really claiming that 77 million Americans are ignorant or disengaged? Of course, the best way to bring people into the Democratic fold is to insult them, say they can’t read, or say they are ignorant, right? Or perhaps — now stay with me a moment, since Jen thinks we’re ignorant — calling people ignorant or saying they can’t read isn’t exactly an enticement to get them to vote for you.
She’s also implicitly knocking her own employer too, suggesting that the WaPo is being stupid. I can’t imagine they would be too happy about that. Although, to be fair, that’s the only thing she is sort of right about here — that the WaPo isn’t getting any Trump readers. But that’s because of their bias, a great example of which is Rubin.

The funny thing here is these two have nothing except their hatred of Trump, it’s all they exist on.
But the American people are tired of Trump Derangement Syndrome. That’s what I think these two really may be worried about here — that their whole routine is going to go away.
Oh, and one more point:
if we are “illiterate” and we beat you, what does that say for whatever you are?
