Washington, D.C. officials are seeking the public’s help after the latest dig at MAGA supporters being “Trash” cropped up with the “government’s logo at the bottom.”
President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration is fast approaching and while his inaugural committee surpassed its fundraising goal earlier in December, the Capital City’s preparations were still underway.
This included efforts by the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) to remove posters from bike kiosks that read, “KEEP DC TRASH FREE.”
One such sign was highlighted by Trump Rapid Response Director Jake Schneider who called out D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser (D) as he wrote, “This is Washington, D.C., where posters calling President Trump and MAGA supporters ‘trash’ are plastered across the district — with the D.C. government’s logo at the bottom.”
“@MayorBowser denies involvement, but you have to wonder…” he added concerning the image that some likened to President Joe Biden in a MAGA hat holding a book that read “Project 2025.”

As other social media accounts began sharing the poster that included the logo of the Mayor’s Office of Clean City DC, DDOT responded with the assertion, “This image was not created, funded, or authorized by the DC government, and our team has already removed the image. If you see additional images like this, we encourage you to report them to 311.”
When asked for comment by the New York Post, Bowser’s office referred the newspaper to the statement from the DDOT.

The art style was similar to ads that had cropped up before the election, including those that were spotted in the City of Brotherly Love depicting a character with the appearance of Vice President Kamala Harris and the claim that she was the official candidate of the Philadelphia Eagles.
While the team and city were quick to distance themselves from the unauthorized and “illegally placed posters,” the Instagram account @winstontseng took credit for creating the images but not for hanging them. Other images like the “Keep DC Trash Free” design can be found on the artist’s page.
The attempt at insulting the president-elect and his supporters proved futile in the waning days and, in fact, was viewed by many as a turning point in cementing victory for Trump after Biden referred to supporters of the GOP leader as “garbage” following comedian Tony Hinchcliffe’s insult to Puerto Rico during the Republican’s Madison Square Garden rally.
“The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters,” said Biden. “His demonization of Latinos is unconscionable and it’s un-American.”
Like former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s “basket of deplorables” line, Trump capitalized on the moment, getting picked up at the airport for a rally in Wisconsin the following day by a Trump-branded garbage truck before giving his entire speech wearing a safety vest.
Reactions to the ad found humor in the image and the message, with one person going so far as to flip the message on the swamp, “We start taking out the trash on Jan. 20th.”
I wonder if they are removing them due to complaints, or if its because they finally realized these things only build more Trump support.

If they want to keep D.C. trash free, it would be a ghost town. Every democrat would need to leave.
It will become trash free as soon as Trump spreads all those departments and agencies across the nation. Can’t wait.

And judges are still putting J6ers on trial there before DC residents…
