Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy had a meltdown after a National Football League play saw him lose out on $370,000, prompting his demand for an FBI investigation.

The Washington Commanders were leading the Atlanta Falcons 21-17 during the fourth quarter of Sunday night’s game. But running back Brian Robinson Jr. failed to score a touchdown on a hand off at the goal line — Portnoy reportedly dropped $10,000 on a bold parlay that required an Indianapolis Colts player to score two or more touchdowns, a Philadelphia Eagles player to score and Robinson Jr. to score. He hit on the first two and a Robinson Jr. score would have resulted in a $370,000 windfall.

In a video shared on X, Portnoy reacted to the scene, collapsing prostrate on the floor as he realized his loss in the high-stakes gamble after he had predicted Robinson would score.

Robinson Jr. “went for 60 yards on 13 carries and nine yards on two receptions but failed to get into the end zone all night as the Commanders chalked up a dramatic 30-24 overtime win,” the Daily Mail described. “To make things more painful for Portnoy, Robinson Jr.’s back up Chris Rodriguez Jr. did score a rushing touchdown.”

“He has five f***ing carries the whole season. Robinson is perfectly f***ing healthy, smiling on the sidelines and we are giving it to this f***ing guy?” Portnoy demanded, referring to Robinson Jr. in a video he posted with some sound issues.

“I want a federal investigation. I want f***ing everyone in Washington investigated. I want DraftKings investigated. I want Robinson investigated,” he fumed. “I want everyone with a f***ing pulse, in-house, outhouse, park house [investigated]. What the f*** was that?”

While he continued to post reactions and later thanked fans for understanding what he went through, there was one theme that got under Portnoy’s skin.

He called out X users who seemed to be distracted by the way he was sitting in the clip he posted. Portnoy was dumbfounded by the reactions.

“If you’re worried about how my feet are crossed right there, you’ve never gambled,” he said. “Yeah, 400 grand on a 10 grand bet? I’m f***ing devastated! Body parts everywhere.”

“It’s 2025 people! How about a little positivity instead of worrying how my feet are crossed?” Portnoy asked.
