Former Arizona senate candidate Kari Lake has announced that she will not seek office again.
Lake ran for governor in 2022 but lost to Democrat Katie Hobbs in a race many claimed was rigged against her. In November, she lost a senate bid to Democrat Rep. Ruben Gallego.
This young lady at #AMFEST asked me if I was going to run for Governor again in 2026.
The answer is no.
I am going to go help President Trump turn this country around by leading @VOANews & sharing America’s story with the world. pic.twitter.com/oVaW4clTlT

“We know the movement that we have in Arizona, and I will never take that for granted. But there is a corrupt machine here that is hellbent on making sure I never hold office,” Lake wrote in another post on X on Saturday.
“So, I won’t put my family (and myself) through the torture of running again.”
Lake continued, “I will go to Washington, D.C., return @VOANews (Voice of America) to its glory days, and help President Trump Make America Great Again.”

President-elect Donald Trump has tapped Lake to run the Voice of America.
In his announcement about appointing her to run the government-funded global news outlet, Trump said she will “ensure that the American values of Freedom and Liberty are broadcast around the World FAIRLY and ACCURATELY, unlike the lies spread by the Fake News Media.”
