Matt Reeves’ “The Batman: Part II” has been delayed by a whole year to October 1, 2027. This move has been a long time coming, and it’s now been made official by Warner Bros.

This shouldn’t come as much of a surprise. As far we know, production on ‘Batman 2’ is supposed to begin in the summer, and since it’s a VFX heavy movie, its original October 2026 release date might not have been within reach.

This new 2027 date for ‘Batman II’ gives the DCU’s “Clayface” some much needed breathing room as it was supposed to hit theaters around a month after Reeves’ sequel. That problem has now been solved.
