Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts is still clearly upset with the ignorant New York Yankee fans who interfered with his attempt to catch a foul ball during Game 4 of the World Series.

In fact, he’s got a message for them. It involves three words, and language that is definitely NSFW.

Betts recalled the incident with Kevin Hart and Kenan Thompson as part of the comedians’ “Back That Year Up 2024” special.

The three-time World Series champion said the first thought that came to mind was chucking a baseball at the two goobers in the stands.

“I was in the moment,” Betts said. “I thought about throwing the ball at them.”

Mookie Betts Slams Yankee Fans Who Grabbed His Arm

For those who don’t recall, Yankee fans and season ticket holder Austin Capobianco and his friend, John Peter, grabbed each of Mookie Betts’ hands in an attempt to pry his glove off during the Game 4 altercation.

The incident occurred when Yankees second baseman Gleyber Torres hit a foul pop-up in the first inning, which Betts caught while near the padded wall.

As Capobianco tried to rip Betts’ glove off, Peter latched onto his other wrist to lend an assist. It was one of the most absurd scenes you’ll ever see in an MLB game.

Several of Betts’ teammates went so far as to suggest that the fans be charged with assault. And the eight-time All-Star is still a little bitter about the whole thing.

He said if there were one message he could deliver to the dynamic duo, it’d be this: “F*** you guys.”

“Like, try and get the ball, cool,” he continued. “But, like, you tried to grab my s***.”

Says He Wanted To Fight Them

This isn’t the first time Mookie Betts has made it clear he was really, really ticked off at the Yankee fans who aggressively grabbed him during the play.

While he refused to address them after the game, mostly because he was upset the Dodgers had lost and temporarily delayed their World Series win, he did mention that he wanted to fight the guys after they clinched the championship.

Betts said he spoke to his wife in private about what the Yankee fans had tried to do after the game. During the conversation, he was a little more honest about his feelings.

“That was wild, man. That was really wild. I’ve never experienced anything like that,” he said in an interview with Fox Sports. “I was telling my wife that was like the second time in my life I’ve ever wanted to fight someone.”

Capobianco and Peter got to enjoy their 15 minutes of fame and, no doubt, would have been heralded as heroes in New York if the Yankees somehow overcame the 3-0 deficit in the Series to win.

As of now, MLB and the Yankees organization have not announced any further ban for the two fans.
