In a not-so-holly or jolly message, Democratic state Senator Megan Hunt of Nebraska mixed Christianity and spite this Christmas.

While most families gathered to celebrate the season with gifts, good food, and warm memories, Hunt decided to engage in some random trolling on X. It started when Hunt posted a picture of her and her child, who she has previously said chose to identify as a boy.

Another user, whose name implies they’re a conservative who lives in Nebraska, responded with snark, saying “I’m glad your daughter is a girl again.”

This set off Hunt, who cited the reason for the holiday season in the same post as she told the person behind the account to “f**k off.”

“I’m going to say something that I would actually like you to receive. The difference between us is that I love my child no matter what. Reflect on that this holiday season as you celebrate the birth of your Lord and all he stood for. I stand behind Him as I tell you, f**k off,” the lawmaker wrote.

While she saw some support for her vulgar outburst, others were not quite as happy with her conduct:
