A 22-year-old Florida woman could spend the rest of her life behind bars over a $2 tip.
The pizza delivery worker was unhappy with the tip she received after delivering an order and allegedly went back to stab the paying customer multiple times.
Brianna Alvelo is being held at the Osceola County Jail on a $55,000 bail, facing charges of attempted murder, home invasion with a firearm, kidnapping, and aggravated assault, after returning to a motel room where she had earlier delivered food.
The customer sustained 14 stab wounds and, upon being treated at the hospital, discovered she was pregnant as well.

Osceola County deputies responded to a call at the Riviera Motel in Kissimmee to find the stabbing victim.
According to NBC News:
A woman, her boyfriend and the woman’s 5-year-old daughter were staying at a motel in Kissimmee to celebrate a birthday and ordered a Marco’s pizza Sunday, according to an affidavit filed in Alvelo’s case. The affidavit is based on the woman’s interview with the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office.
Alvelo delivered the pizza, which cost about $33, and was asked to give change for a $50 bill, the affidavit said. But Alvelo did not have change, and the woman searched for smaller bills, giving Alvelo only a $2 tip in the end, authorities said.
The woman said that sometime later, she heard a loud knocking on the door, the affidavit said. A man and a woman clad in all black wearing masks forced themselves into the room when she opened the door, it said.
The man reportedly had a gun and the woman believed to be Alvelo, had a pocketknife. She allegedly went through the victim’s belongings in search of money and stabbed her as she turned to shield her daughter.
She then “threw her daughter onto the bed and attempted to pick up her phone,” according to the affidavit which said that the suspect smashed the phone and “began striking her multiple times with the knife.”
The victim suffered stab wounds to her chest, arms, legs, and abdomen. Alvelo was arrested on Monday at the Marco’s Pizza restaurant where she worked.

“We are deeply saddened by the tragic incident that occurred,” a spokesperson for the restaurant said. “The local owner and his team are fully cooperating with local authorities, who have launched an investigation into the matter. The safety and well-being of customers and team members are always our top priority, and we are taking this incident very seriously.”
The manager helped sheriff’s detectives identify Alvelo who was reportedly background-checked when she was hired.
At Alvelo’s bond hearing, prosecutors said, “State believes that this is a punishable by life offense… There should be no bond set and it should not be set for the pre-trial detention hearing.”
“The male suspect has not been identified. Anyone with information should call authorities at (800) 423-8477,” NBC6 reported.
