Journalist and podcast host Bill O’Reilly dismissed the media meltdown over criminal recommendations against former Rep. Liz Cheney.

In remarks on his “No Spin News ” show, the former Fox News host looked at the allegations surrounding the former Wyoming congresswoman and co-chair of the sham January 6 committee.

Rep. Barry Loudermilk (R-GA), chairman of the Committee on House Administration’s Subcommittee on Oversight, released an interim report this month on the investigation into J6 events and the J6 Committee. The report outlined criminal recommendations against Cheney for alleged witness tampering in her communication with “star witness” Cassidy Hutchinson.

“Former Representative Liz Cheney used the January 6 Select Committee as a tool to attack President Trump, at the cost of investigative integrity and Capitol security,” Loudermilk’s report found.

But the leftwing media has been defending the so-called Republican and claiming any attacks on her are simply an act of “revenge” by former President Donald Trump and his supporters.

O’Reilly set the record straight.

“The press is going, ‘Oh, it’s revenge, revenge, revenge.’ It’s not revenge, it’s justice,” he said after playing a clip of his recent debate on News Nation with Chris Cuomo.

“Can’t have a congressperson, the legal word is suborning perjury. I don’t know whether she did that, Cheney, but the allegation, and I think they can back it up, is that she met with Hutchinson and guided her testimony. That’s against federal law,” O’Reilly explained.

“You can’t do that if you are a sitting congressperson,” he continued. “So, yeah, investigate it. But it’s not revenge. You got to have this. You got to have some standards of behavior in the federal government.”

“But the press, ‘Oh, the revenge. Oh, yeah.’ Does the press want to know what Liz Cheney really did?” he asked. “Do they? No, they don’t.”

During his battle of words with Cuomo, O’Reilly repeatedly tried to show that, if the allegations against Cheney were true, then she without a doubt “violated federal law.”

“Liz Cheney is the biggest villain in Republican circles there could possibly be,” he said on the show.

“Why? Because she’s a traitor?” Cuomo asked.

“No, because she was so hateful to Trump. The voters of Wyoming booted her out, even though the Cheney family is one of the most powerful families in that state. But when the Republicans in Congress say she witness tampered? And then the press makes it out like this is some revenge play?” O’Reilly said. “If Liz Cheney witness tampered, she deserves the FBI being all over her front lawn. I’ll tell you that right now. I think there’s enough evidence to go in and investigate.”

In an interview with “Meet the Press” host Kristen Welker earlier this month, President-elect Trump said he felt Cheney and everyone on the sham J6 committee should go to jail.

“Everybody on that committee … for what they did, yeah, honestly, they should go to jail,” Trump said.
