While you may have had a great Christmas, members of an alleged drug-trafficking gang in Peru did not, as the Grinch interpreted their festivities.
According to ABC 13:
Peru’s national police Green Squadron unit arrested suspected drug traffickers over the weekend as part of a new operation during the Christmas season.
An officer disguised as the Grinch busted the door open of a home of suspected drug traffickers on Friday.
A video released by police shows The Grinch in a Santa Claus suit searching the house and finding money and drugs.
It’s great when officers mock these alleged losers, as too many people in America have taken a soft-on-crime approach.
The Grinch had participated in a Christmas activity prior to the police drug bust operation, making the police presence in the neighborhood go unnoticed, according to Col. Carlos Lopez Aedo, head of the Police Green Squadron.
Authorities said they seized packages of cocaine hydrochloride and cocaine paste, as well as precision instruments such as scales and strainers.
“I hate Christmas and criminals,” the dancing Grinch said.
While I do not hate Christmas, I do hate criminals, especially drug dealers.
This is not the first time officers have taken advantage of a holiday to dress up as cartoon characters and bust drug dealers.
Last Feb., an undercover cop in Peru dressed up as a teddy bear on Valentine’s Day to fool another alleged drug dealer.
What she thought was about to be one of the best days of her life, ended up being one of the worst.
Moral of the story: Don’t mess with Peruvian authorities, especially during a holiday.
