President-elect Donald J. Trump’s decisive victory over Kamala Harris in last month’s election laid bare the fact that the Democrats have a serious brand problem and CNN’s Scott Jennings explained what it is.

The American electorate’s rejection of Harris, the establishment avatar of DEI wokeness, was a referendum on the once-liberal party that has careened into the extreme leftism of Bernie Sanders, AOC, and Joseph Stalin, alienating voters who gave Trump a mandate for change.

On Christmas Eve, CNN analyst and Democratic Party mouthpiece Maria Cardona tried to spin away recent remarks by lifelong Democrat Sen. Joe Manchin (I-WV) – who left the party earlier this year – that the Dem brand is “toxic” and a New York Times panel that described the party brand as “in the toilet.”

During Tuesday’s edition of “CNN News Central,” co-host Kate Bolduan neglected to be an unbiased traffic cop by allowing Cardona to filibuster about her party’s troubles until Jennings was finally allowed to get a word in, and when he did speak, he hit the bullseye.

“This was not a sweeping mandate. Donald Trump didn’t even break 50 percent of the popular vote,” Cardona insisted during her filibuster, spinning Trump’s popular vote win as insignificant. “I’m not saying that Democrats don’t have challenges, absolutely we have challenges in how we communicated and where we communicated and to whom we communicated, but I do not agree that the Democratic Party brand is in as much trouble as both of these folks are talking about.”

“We certainly have work to do, but there’s no question that the Democrats still stand for making sure that everyone has the ability to acquire the American dream, that everyone is on an equitable and level playing field, to be able to live up to their God-given potential and to be able to do what they can to succeed in this country,” she yammered on. “It’s not the party that focuses on oligarchs and billionaires and millionaires, which is what Donald Trump is doing right now in his transition.”

Finally, Jennings was able to speak as Bolduan was trying to end the segment.

“Wait a minute… It takes Maria five minutes to define what the Democratic brand is, and you don’t let me respond to it after I show up on time on Christmas Eve, this is an insult that will not be forgotten,” Jennings said jokingly.

“She filibustered me,” he added. “She filibustered me out of the conversation.”

“It took Maria five minutes, here’s ten seconds,” Jennings said. “Democrats are the party of uncommon nonsense. Republicans are the party of common sense.”

“It’s why our tent right now is full of such a wide ideological spectrum. People are flocking to the Republicans because we stand for common sense,” he concluded. “And Democrats have taken on all this uncommon fringe nonsense, and if they are in the toilet, my advice? Flush away the fringe and the people who have drug you down there. Because this is why Republicans won the election.”
