Marianne Williamson announced on Thursday her intentions to run for the Democratic National Committee chair, and the reaction was telling.
After losing to President-elect Donald Trump, the Democrat Party is in a state of uncertainty and turmoil. The methods they have used to win elections in previous years failed to have the desired impact on voters across the United States, resulting in Vice President Kamala Harris losing every single swing state. As Republicans prepare to take their turn in Washington D.C., Democrats are forced to search their souls and come up with a new way forward.
It appears that Williamson is ready and willing to do what is needed to revamp the party.
I’m proud to announce I’m running for Chair of the DNC. In order to respond to the challenge of this moment, the Democratic Party needs transformation.https://t.co/WpK2yjz0zy

While this may have been a laughable proposition in times past, given her presidential campaign’s less-than-enthusiastic support, it looks like some aren’t taking the possibility off the table, while others questioned her loyalty to a party that hasn’t returned the favor.
Love this.
It’s going to be an uphill battle, but you were one of the few that stood up for Bobby’s choice to endorse Trump (disagreed, but understood) and that told me everything I need to know about you.

There was a time I would have been happy about this. However, you do not keep up on issues outside your echo chamber, other than what MSM tells you.

At last. Someone running for DNC chair who actually has a powerful, progressive vision for the country with American workers in mind. Excellent news … thank you Marianne Williamson

All best wishes for this, Marianne, but I fear it’s like walking into the GM boardroom and saying you should be its Chairman.
Which is to say, the DNC is a for-profit corporation, concerned only with maintaining business as usual, with no connection to the people at all.

I support this with all of my being. If the Democrats want to survive, they need to change.
You may not agree with all of Marianne’s opinions, but it’s hard to find a better person for this type of leadership. She is passionate, kind and not afraid to ruffle feathers.

To even have faith in that party after all they did to you and our country… I love you Marianne, forever, but I have to treat you like I treat my senile elders at this point and just pat your head and hold your hand.
