Legislators in South Korea on Friday voted to impeach the interim president just two weeks after President Yoon Suk Yeol was ousted. 

Lawmakers in South Korea voted to impeach acting interim President Han Duck-soo, arguing that he was invalid. 

They also accused the parliament of committing tyranny, according to NBC News. 

Minister of Economy and Finance Choi Sang-mok has replaced Han, making him South Korea’s second acting president. 

This comes after Yoon was impeached earlier this month after he declared martial law, which was overridden by lawmakers. 

The rescinded order pitted the liberal  party in control of the National Assembly against its conservative leadership in the Blue House.
