Wayne Gretzky

President Trump on Wednesday said he had just told hockey great Wayne Gretzky that he should run for Prime Minister of Canada, a position he said is “soon to be known as the Governor of Canada” amid growing opposition to current Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

“I think the people of Canada should start a DRAFT WAYNE GRETZKY Movement. It would be so much fun to watch!” the President said on Truth Social this afternoon.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, all indications seem to show that it’s ‘game over’ for the Globalist poster-boy, and it’s become a unanimous refrain among analysts that it’s not a question of if he will fall, but how and when. Facing a motion of no-confidence vote in January from his Democratic New Party allies, his own Liberal party legislators are now calling for him to step down and let someone else take over.

President Trump says Gretzky “had no interest” in running for the country’s highest office despite telling him, “You would win easily, you wouldn’t even have to campaign.”

Trump: I just left Wayne Gretzky, “The Great One” as he is known in Ice Hockey circles. I said, “Wayne, why don’t you run for Prime Minister of Canada, soon to be known as the Governor of Canada – You would win easily, you wouldn’t even have to campaign.” He had no interest, but I think the people of Canada should start a DRAFT WAYNE GRETZKY Movement. It would be so much fun to watch!

Trump has not backed down from his threats to make Canada the 51st state amid pushback from Prime Minister Trudeau over tariffs.

“I Think it is a Great Idea. 51st State!!!” – President Trump Continues Calls for Annexation of Canada

As The Gateway Pundit reported, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau traveled to the United States to meet with Trump at his Mar-A-Lago estate in West Palm Beach on Friday amidst Trump’s decision to impose a 25% tariff on all products from Canada and Mexico in response to the “illegal alien invasion.”

“On January 20th, as one of my many first Executive Orders, I will sign all necessary documents to charge Mexico and Canada a 25% Tariff on ALL products coming into the United States, and its ridiculous Open Borders. This Tariff will remain in effect until such time as Drugs, in particular Fentanyl, and all Illegal Aliens stop this Invasion of our Country!” Trump said on Truth Social late last month.

This caused Trudeau to board a plane to Florida for a face-to-face discussion, which Trump later described as “productive.”

According to Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy, Trump humorously suggested that if Canada cannot sustain its economy without what he claimed was a $100 billion annual exploitation of the U.S., perhaps it should consider becoming the 51st state.

“We’re told that when Trudeau told President-elect Trump that new tariffs would kill the Canadian economy, Trump joked to him that if Canada can’t survive without ripping off the U.S. to the tune of $100 billion per year, then maybe Canada should become the 51st state, and Trudeau can become its governor,” said Doocey.

Trudeau and his Cabinet reportedly shrugged off Trump’s comments as “teasing” earlier this month.

However, recently, Trudeau took a weak offensive against Trump, declaring himself a “proud feminist” while claiming women’s rights are “under attack” by Trump and his base. “Regressive forces” are taking hold across America, Trudeau said. This weird smear of Trump was followed by another weak offensive from Ontario Premier Doug Ford, who threatened to cut off fuel to the United States if Trump imposes tariffs on Canada. However, The United States accounts for more than 75% of Canada’s exports, so this probably won’t work for Canada.

If Canada doesn’t start paying its fair share, who knows what kind of deal Trump, a master negotiator, will work out?

The Gateway Pundit will continue to provide updates on the fall of Trudeau and Trump’s apparent plans to make Canada the 51st US state.
