Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin has turned into a punching bag on social media.
Kiffin spent Friday night through Saturday afternoon taking completely unnecessary shots at the College Football Playoff and the committee that picked the 12 teams.
His beef?
The games weren’t particularly close….but his attitude sure seemed to shift Saturday night.
Lane Kiffin gets a big dose of karma on social media.
Well, the situation took a turn after Ohio State kicked around Tennessee 42-17 in arguably the most lopsided game of the playoff.
Prior to the blowout dished out by the Buckeyes, Kiffin hopped on social media to throw his support behind the Vols.
He then went radio silent as the third best team in the SEC got curb stomped. Maybe we spent so much time talking about if a fourth SEC should get in that nobody bothered to asked if the third-best team deserved to get in. That’s the logic many SEC fanboys used prior to Saturday night, and it was time for karma as the blowout unfolded.

There are few things funnier on the internet than when someone talks tough and then completely disappears once things stop going their way.
Kiffin had no problem going viral during the Notre Dame/Indiana and SMU/Penn State games. Then, he seemingly had nothing to say once an SEC team got boat raced.
Maybe his phone died and he couldn’t find a charger. Maybe there was a massive internet outage in Mississippi. We might not ever know, but we do know the internet brought its receipts.
What do you think of Kiffin and the backlash? Let me know at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
