The singer Jessica Simpson is showing off her incredible 100-pound weight loss as she also teases new music.
Simpson’s Weight Loss
Simpson, 44, long known as a blonde bombshell, took to Instagram to post a photo of herself in which she looks shockingly small.
“I can’t wait for y’all to hear the soundtrack of my soul,” she wrote in the caption.

Fans expressed their shock over Simpson’s appearance in the comments section of the post.
“I don’t even recognize this person,” one fan commented. Another fan added, “Girl who is this.”
Others, however, defended Simpson.
“I don’t understand why people feel the need to be so mean,” read another comment. “She is talented and beautiful and not giving up on life. Lift people up, it’s so much healthier.”
“She seems healthy, happy, and free so maybe y’all should just applaud her for living authentically and keep it moving,” someone else stated.
Simpson Previously Teased New Music
This comes one month after Simpson teased new music in another Instagram post. In that one, she shared a photo of herself wearing a white dress, black furry coat and patent platform boots.
“Interviews in my Nashville music room where I unearthed my singular magic,” Simpson wrote in that caption. “This comeback is personal, it’s an apology to myself for putting up with everything I did not deserve.”
Simpson hasn’t released an album in fourteen years. Her last one was the 2010 holiday album “Happy Christmas.”
Simpson has previously revealed that she’s lost 100 pounds three different times in her life.
“I have gained and lost 100lbs 3x so I never thought this moment could or would happen, but I’m finally spring breakin’ wearin’ a BIKINI!!!!!!” Simpson wrote on Instagram in 2022. “Hard work Determination Self Love.”
Simpson’s Weight Loss
Indeed, after welcoming her third child Birdie Mae in March of 2019, Simpson lost 100 pounds in one year.
Simpson’s personal trainer Harley Pasternak later told E! News, “This particular baby No. 3 was … I think she commented to the press that she tipped the scales at 240 lbs, that’s not coming from me, she mentioned that in a post. So, we had our work cut out for us and perhaps more so on this baby than the others.”
“It had to be more than just getting back from her baby weight, but how do I keep whatever I am doing now forever,” he continued. “That’s why we are not a big fan of doing any extreme diet or radical forms of exercise.”
Pasternak and Simpson’s doctor teamed up to create a sustainable meal plan of lean protein and vegetables. These days, Simpson eats three meals a day and has two snacks like “parmesan green beans and a handful of almonds.”
Simpson’s Sobriety
Another major factor in Simpson’s weight loss journey was giving up alcohol. Indeed, she recently celebrated the seventh anniversary of her sobriety journey.
“When I stopped drinking, it was because I had stopped hearing the voice I really trusted, and I was lost without her,” she previously said.

While Simpson certainly didn’t need to lose weight, we’re glad that she appears to be happy and healthy. Here’s hoping that Simpson releases new music soon!
