Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis is not giving up without a fight after being spanked by a Georgia Appeals court.
On Thursday, the court ruled that Willis and her entire office have been disqualified from the election interference case involving President-elect Donald Trump and several of his allies. The lawfare-induced indictment against Trump still stands.
Willis became a national embarrassment when a romantic relationship with former Special Prosecutor Nathan Wade was revealed. Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee decided earlier this year that one of the lovebirds had to go, resulting in Wade resigning from the case.
Imagine being Fani Willis.
You indict President Trump and take his mugshot thinking it would stop him from becoming President.
Instead, it galvanizes even more support for him and he wins the election in a landslide.
And it ends with you being kicked off your own case for… pic.twitter.com/ivBqzM9J40

Trump’s legal team filed an appeal to remove Willis as well and a three-judge panel concluded Thursday that McAfee made a mistake by allowing Willis to stay on the case.
”After carefully considering the trial court’s findings in its order, we conclude that it erred by failing to disqualify DA Willis and her office,” the appeals court ruled.
WSB-TV investigative reporter Mark Winne spoke to Willis after she was booted to the curb and she said, “We’re asking the (Georgia) Supreme Court to review the court of appeals decision.”
Winne also spoke with attorney Ashleigh Merchant, who represents Michael Roman, a former Trump campaign official and a co-defendant facing criminal charges in the case — Merchant raised in court Willis’s inappropriate relationship with Wade.
“We were very surprised but happy to get the opinion today,” the attorney said. “I knew that once we had our day in court, we would be meritorious.”
Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen on the social media platform X:
Fani Willis seems to be grasping at straws here, desperately trying to maintain control after the appeals court gave her a major setback. It’s ironic that she’s so focused on taking down Trump, yet she’s the one facing legal hurdles herself. Instead of fighting to stay in the…

This is all very revealing. They relished in their hideous coordinated attacks on President Trump.
They now have to prove their own unconstitutional actions!— MLisa40 USA (@MaryLis44064020) December 20, 2024
Fani Willis has got to be Big Mad today.
Perhaps Nathan Wade knows how to console her.

Grab a hot cocoa and some Christmas cookies, Ashleigh Merchant has only just started with her. Fanny’s next Ebonics laced outburst is going to be a classic.

I’m not sure that’s how it ends. She may end up getting disbarred.
I think she’ll up end being one of those TV judges.
