At every turn, denials and deflections have led to worsening incidents for members of communities taking the brunt of the Biden-Harris administration’s open border crisis. After the chief of police in Aurora, Colorado was “fired up” amid the detainment of at least 19 individuals in the wake of two people being “tortured,” border czar designee Tom Homan hoped he “walks the walk.”
Joining Fox News’ “America Reports” Tuesday after it was reported that authorities had taken more than a dozen people into custody at an apartment complex made infamous by the Venezuelan prison gang Tren de Aragua, Homan said of Aurora Police Chief Todd Chamberlain’s response, “So, he’s talking the talk, but let’s hope he walks the walk and hands these people to ICE when he’s done with them, because we can remove them, not only from the community but from the country.”
“And if law enforcement officers don’t help us do that,” he added, “we’re certainly going to do that starting January 21st.”
As was reported, Chamberlain detailed during a press conference how a bound male and female victim had been “terrorized,” which included being pistol-whipped and beaten, before they were released.
“We are not going to rest until we verify every individual in this incident is in custody, every individual who mistreated another human being the way these victims were treated is in custody and we will use, again, every resource at our ability to do that,” the chief said. “We have proactively been focused on that apartment complex. As everybody here knows, and as the nation knows, this complex is an incredibly problematic complex. It’s an incredibly crime-riddled complex.”
It remained unconfirmed if, as the “high assumption” suggested, those detained were members of Tren de Aragua.
Fox News co-anchor John Roberts brought up how Homan had met with New York City Mayor Eric Adams (D) last week who went on to voice his willingness to cooperate with the incoming administration of President-elect Donald Trump as the cop part of him had been stirred to supersede the politician.
After their meeting, Adams further decried the incumbent administration asserting, “We have 500,000 children who have sponsors in this country that we can’t find. We can’t find them. We don’t know if they’re doing child labor, sex crimes, being exploited, 500,000 children.”
Roberts also wondered if the border czar designee would reveal other blue city or state leaders that might be scheduling meetings, like Aurora Mayor Mike Coffman (D), to which Homan responded he’d rather not say until plans were confirmed.
What he was willing to say was, “I’ll meet with anybody because this is about public safety and national security. So let’s meet, let’s work together. You don’t have to be immigration officers. We’ll do that. But be cops. Be law enforcement. Be elected representatives for your community.”
“Love your community a little more than you hate Trump,” he added ahead of plans for mass deportations and a return to national sovereignty.
