If you get your news from the New York Times, you may be surprised to learn that President Biden has lost a step, as they say. Peter Baker and Zolan Kanno-Youngs almost let on that all is not well with Biden. They put it this way:

Time is catching up with Mr. Biden. He looks a little older and a little slower with each passing day. Aides say he remains plenty sharp in the Situation Room, calling world leaders to broker a cease-fire in Lebanon or deal with the chaos of Syria’s rebellion. But it is hard to imagine that he seriously thought he could do the world’s most stressful job for another four years.

Now it can almost be told! Tell us, brothers — give us an example of his sharpness in the Situation Room. Don’t leave us hanging! It’s a good thing Power Line readers don’t get their news from the Times.

Peter Baker, by the way, is the Times’s chief White House correspondent. Zolan Kanno-Youngs is a Times White House correspondent also covering Biden and his administration. In this tactful, restrained, laughable retrospective, the Times has two reporters on the case.
