New documentary tells story of volleyball player severely injured by trans

In a new documentary from the Independent Women’s Forum, “Kill Shot: How Payton McNabb Turned Tragedy Into Triumph,” a former high school athlete is hoping to prevent other women and girls from experiencing what happened to her.

In 2022, after her dreams of pursuing college sports were shattered when a boy who “identified” as a girl spiked a volleyball with such force that she was almost killed.

McNabb was knocked unconscious for 30 seconds, and was later diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury, a brain bleed, partial paralysis, and a partial loss of vision.

“If my story can in any way help prevent this from happening to at least just one woman or girl, then it was all worth it,” the now 19-year-old McNabb told The New York Post.

“We never thought we would ever be put in this position to begin with,” she said of the prospect of competing against a biological male. “I didn’t know one person who agreed with [a transgender athlete competing against us] on my team, but we didn’t know what to do.”

“It was 100% avoidable, if only my rights as a female athlete had been more important than a man’s feelings,” she said.
