The Colorado apartment complex where notorious Venezuelan gang members were seen in viral videos was the scene of a home invasion.
Aurora police detained more than a dozen suspects after a reported crime that authorities say was “without question a gang incident.”
Victims were treated at the hospital and police detained 14 suspects at the complex that made headlines this past summer. The Trump War Room social media account noted on a post with the Fox News report: “TRUMP WAS RIGHT AGAIN!”

During the 2024 presidential campaign, former President Trump blasted the Biden-Harris administration over border policies that have created the current immigration crisis in the nation. At a rally in the city that he called a “war zone” in October, Trump had vowed to launch a federal program if elected called “Operation Aurora” to deport gang members as Aurora reels under the influx of thousands of illegal migrants who have settled there.
Aurora’s Republican mayor, Mike Coffman, and others mocked Trump and pushed back on claims about the viral videos of alleged gang members in an apartment complex.
“The city and state have not been ‘taken over’ or ‘invaded’ or ‘occupied’ by migrant gangs,” Coffman insisted at the time.
According to the Aurora police chief, the suspects in Tuesday’s kidnapping and assault were certainly gang members.
“This is without question a gang incident. I don’t know which gang they are affiliated with yet,” he said at a press conference, adding that “there is a high assumption that they may be affiliated with the TdA [Tren de Aragua] gang.”
Fox News reported:
Just before 2:30 a.m. on Tuesday, police were called to The Edge at Lowry Apartments in the 1200 block of Dallas Street for a reported armed home invasion in which victims were kidnapped and assaulted, the Aurora Police said.
Aurora Police Department Chief Todd Chamberlain said during a Tuesday news conference that 13 to 15 people, mostly males with some females, entered an apartment where two people were inside. Police say the suspects took the migrant victims to another apartment at the same location, where the victims were “threatened and bound.”
A male victim sustained a stab wound, according to police, but is expected to survive. The victims called 911 once the suspects released them.
“They were pistol-whipped, they were beat, they were mistreated,” Chamberlain said. “So does that fall in the category of torture for me? Yeah, it does.”
“We have focused on that area extensively,” Chamberlain said, referring to the apartment complex.
Social media users reacted to the report and the fact that Trump was “vindicated” in his previous remarks.
You mean the Mayor, Governor and media in CO were lying?
Trump is vindicated! Deport Deport Deport!

Remember when Martha Raddatz told JD Vance to relax, cause it was just a “handful of apartment complexes” being taken over by Venezuelan gang bangers?
Yeah, we do too. ♂️
