Poland is one of the safest countries in Europe, and it looks like they’re going to keep it that way.
In the face of Russian aggression to the east in Ukraine, Poland has decided to train its schoolchildren in the use of firearms.
Despite Poland being one of the safest countries in Europe, fearing a Russian threat as Moscow continues to escalate their war against Ukraine and their allies, the government has decided to equip students with firearms training to be prepared for unforeseen events.
In 2022, the Polish Ministry of Education and Science said, ‘The current challenges and threats require supplementing the goals of education and teaching content with issues related to state defense, acquiring shooting skills, and preparing students to cope with threats caused by hostilities.’
These Education Security classes were scheduled to start in the 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 school years.
Students do not train with live ammunition but with ball guns, air guns, replicas of small arms, and virtual or shooting guns with lasers where the green light signals a successful hit. Laser arms dealer Krzysztof Papadis has developed this system and selling it to over 18,000 schools in Poland, he told DW.
Good for these kids for getting prepped in case World War 3 kicks off!
Also, it goes without saying, but this should be a mandatory class, in peacetime and in wartime.
We may want to consider offering this class here in the USA, especially now that conservatism is making such a huge comeback!
