The loss of the White House and the Senate ensured that President Joe Biden won’t be able to accomplish the government gun grab that he’s been calling for.
With President-elect Donald J. Trump soon to be back in charge, law-abiding American gun owners can breathe a sigh of relief that the Second Amendment will be protected, but that doesn’t mean that the outgoing leader is going to stop trying.
In a Saturday post to X, Biden, or whichever purple-haired staffer handles his accounts, again called for an “assault weapons” ban in a pathetic attempt to remain relevant.
I led the fight to ban them in 1994, and it can be done again. pic.twitter.com/daeZOdHInw

“I led the fight to ban them in 1994, and it can be done again,” Biden said with the post marking the twelve year anniversary of the mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut when 20 children and six teachers were massacred by a mentally unwell gunman.
X users fired back at the lamest of lame duck’s demand for the weapons ban, reminding him that he’s going to be completely irrelevant in just over a month.
Your term is over in a couple weeks buddy. LOL Did nobody tell you?

Your party ran on that idea and lost big.

I completely forgot you still had this job

That’s why we don’t want you here. Go away and leave us alone.

You’re irrelevant now

You just pardoned your son for lying on a firearms form. You can’t be serious.

During his heinous tenure in office, the geriatric gun grabber has repeatedly tried to bully Congress into adding to the anti-gun measures rammed through after the Uvalde, TX elementary school shooting when actor Matthew McConaughey traveled to Capitol Hill to personally lobby lawmakers.
But he has come up short with there being little appetite for actually banning the popular home defense weapons that have been blamed for numerous mass shootings, not the mental illness of the mass murderers.
“With the strength of this emboldened movement by our side, we have made historic progress to reduce gun violence over the past four years. I signed into law the most significant piece of gun safety legislation in nearly 30 years,” Biden said in a statement marking the grim anniversary.
Still, more must be done. Congress has an obligation to ‘do something’ in order to protect our children and communities from this scourge of gun violence. We are the only nation experiencing this epidemic and there are common sense policies that the majority of Americans agree with and that Congress can easily take action on. We need universal background checks, red flag laws, safe storage requirements, and a ban on assault weapons like the one used at Sandy Hook,” he said.
Fortunately for America, Biden will soon be gone and his demands for gun bans along with him.
