During the Panny D, the phrases “follow the science” and “trust the experts” were coined, even though everything and everyone they demanded we blindly follow was wrong. Everything these “experts” demanded we do was arbitrary, at best, although the left treated it as Gospel.
Neil deGrasse Tyson has no shortage of asinine take these days, and while he believes weight class is far better to divide people in sports than sex, he also believes people like him, aka experts, are God. Thus, if you don’t blindly follow everything they say and do, while never thinking for yourself, you could LITERALLY die.
LOL. I cannot remember the last time he backed anything up with “data and facts,” as he is clearly, ideologically captured.
When a man claims you should follow and trust him, at the expense of truth, that is a sign you should never believe anything he says.
Firstly, “trusting the experts,” is a logical fallacy, as it’s nothing more than an appeal to authority. It is the logical equivalent of saying, “Buy this toothpaste because the experts say it’s the best.” It is not an argument and is not based on logic or truth.
Secondly, his comparison is also illogical, as it’s not uncommon to get a snake oil salesman for a plumber. And no one who knows nothing about plumbing is out there thinking, “Let me do it myself because I despise all experts.” That is not what this is about. There is never anything wrong with getting a second opinion, especially when the “experts” make no sense.
Thirdly, he is referring to the medical establishment, which is the most corrupt of them all. And while he is implying the majority of people are trying to “do their research” to get out of cancer, that is not the case. It is that these people are using their credentials to defend their ideological activism and that is not how science works, but that is exactly how “the science works,” aka political science.
Tyson crying because the masses made him feel irrelevant and like a clown proves why you shouldn’t trust what he says—especially when he makes foolish claims like this.
