Former Fox News host Megyn Kelly tore into Caitlin Clark over the WNBA star’s comments suggesting she is the beneficiary of ‘white privilege.’

Clark’s comments were tucked away in a massive Time Magazine writeup after the outlet named the Indiana Fever star their Athlete of the Year for 2024.

The column cites the many statistics that make Clark a superstar. It cites her impact off the court as a generational talent and role model. But, being the liberal media, it also includes comments from fellow WNBA stars suggesting Clark’s stardom is fueled in part by racism.

Among those is league MVP A’ja Wilson, who, prior to the start of Clark’s rookie season, flat-out said the attention being given to the Iowa girl was due to her being white.

“It doesn’t matter what we all do as black women, we’re still going to be swept underneath the rug,” Wilson said. “That’s why it boils my blood when people say it’s not about race because it is.”

Caitlin Clark Gives In

Wilson’s comments were, of course, despicable. And yet, for whatever reason, Clark relented and, as Time writes, admitted she is “cognizant of the racial underpinnings of her stardom.”

“I want to say I’ve earned every single thing, but as a white person, there is privilege,” Clark said. “A lot of those players in the league that have been really good have been black players. This league has kind of been built on them.”

“The more we can appreciate that, highlight that, talk about that, and then continue to have brands and companies invest in those players that have made this league incredible, I think it’s very important.”

All this, while some fans are convinced that Clark has been targeted on the court because she’s white. She has been the recipient of a significant percentage of the flagrant fouls committed in the league – to the tune of 17%.

Megyn Kelly Nukes Clark

Megyn Kelly clearly felt Caitlin Clark’s placating the ‘white privilege’ crowd was a mistake. And she voiced her displeasure by responding to her comments on X.

“Look at this,” Kelly fired back. “She’s on the knee all but apologizing for being white and getting attention.”

“The self-flagellation. The ‘oh pls pay attention to the black players who are REALY the ones you want to celebrate,’” added the podcast host. “Condescending. Fake. Transparent. Sad.”

It’s definitely all of those things. Clark has earned her achievements through hard work and solid play.

The bitterness from others in the league is a clear sign of privilege, having never had to answer questions before about somebody coming into the league and dominating them in every facet of the sport.
