The January 6 Committee, headed by Liz Cheney, has been accused of selectively omitting key evidence, such as a transcript revealing President Trump’s request for 10,000 National Guard troops to protect the Capitol, to perpetuate a biased narrative. This biased narrative has imprisoned innocent people and led to improper treatment and persecution of targeted individuals. The corruption within the January 6 Committee should be investigated and the perpetrators held accountable.

Liz Cheney and her cohorts should be held accountable for obfuscating the truth behind January 6, 2021
The January 6 Committee’s role in the wrongful arrest and incarceration of individuals caught up in the events surrounding January 6, 2021 has brought to light corruption within the federal government. These corrupt forces have led to wrongful incarceration and the suicide of individuals who were pressured into convictions by vindictive D.C. lawyers and insiders. The Jan 6 committee, spearheaded by Liz Cheney, became an instrument of political vengeance, rather than an impartial investigatory body.
The committee, consisting of Democrats and two vehemently anti-Trump Republicans — Cheney and Adam Kinzinger — has been accused of selectively omitting evidence and deliberately covering up facts that paint a much different picture than the one they’ve propagated. One such critical piece of evidence was the January 6 Committee’s intentional concealment of a transcript that exposed then-President Trump’s request for 10,000 National Guard troops to protect the Capitol.
During testimony before the committee on January 28, 2022, Deputy Chief of Staff Anthony Ornato revealed that he overheard Chief of Staff Mark Meadows speaking with D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser about Trump’s request for 10,000 troops to maintain peace. Ornato’s testimony directly contradicts the committee’s previous claims that there was “no evidence” to support Trump’s account.
Yet, despite this damning revelation, the committee made a calculated decision to withhold this information from the public, perpetuating a narrative that was rife with bias and selective oversight.
Cheney’s role in this political persecution cannot be understated. As one of only two Republicans on the committee, Cheney has aggressively pursued a vendetta against Trump, using her position to selectively investigate and prosecute individuals who were set up by the FBI, informants, and the nefarious coordination between Nancy Pelosi and the D.C. police.
The January 6 Committee’s criminal actions recall the darkest hours of American history, when political dissidents were sent to Soviet gulags. In this case, it’s the modern equivalent: individuals arrested and incarcerated under questionable circumstances, their lives and futures shattered in a politically motivated witch hunt.
Cheney has become a symbol of this tragic injustice, using her power and influence to tarnish the legacies of those she deems enemies of the state. Her statements about the “attempted overturning of the 2020 presidential election” ring hollow, given the committee’s deliberate omission of evidence that exonerates Trump and implicates them in a web of lies and deceit.
It’s time to ask hard questions about the January 6 Committee’s true purpose. Was it ever about justice? Or was it always about political retribution and eliminating opposition? The answer is becoming increasingly clear. Donald Trump is right: those who obfuscated the truth and perpetuated unjust persecution should be held accountable for their actions too.
