During Tuesday’s episode of ‘The Five’ the co-hosts discussed Trump’s recent line of joking, referring to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau as “Governor” of the  “great state of Canada.” This came as the duo met to discuss the president-elect’s tariff plans, something that Trump promised to implement in an effort to start putting America first again on the global stage.

Perino suggested that the humorous vibe between the two world leaders is a good thing and will “help their relationship,” she also thinks that Trump has something bigger planned for his last presidential term.

“Nobody trolls better than Donald J. Trump. The president-elect is once again flexing on Canada and Trudeau,” fellow co-host Joey Jones remarked. “Dana, is this funny, like maybe it’s an inside joke from the dinner, or is he trolling him, and what’s the larger message?”

“I think it’s funny and I imagine that Justin Trudeau also thought it was funny. And it probably will help their relationship. Because if you can tease somebody and they can be teased – and maybe Trudeau teases back a little bit. But we usually do predictions at the end of the year on a show and we’ll have that coming up and I usually am pretty good at them,” she responded.

“But I’m going to make a prediction before that show, and I thought of this this afternoon. I actually think that the United States might make some sort of purchase. I don’t know, not Canada, but there might be some sort of like big real estate purchase in the next four years,” Perino offered.

“We do have a real estate president coming in,” Jones agreed.
