President-elect Donald Trump’s remarks about ending birthright citizenship sent one CNN commentator into a meltdown that proved she didn’t even understand the issue.

Trump spoke on the topic with “Meet the Press” host Kristen Welker on Sunday, saying, “We’re going to end that because it’s ridiculous.”

Welker asked how he would get around the 14th Amendment and Trump replied: “Well, we’re going to have to get it changed. We’ll maybe have to go back to the people. But we have to end it.”

On Monday, amid the rest of the left-wing meltdowns, CNN’s Maria Cardona was stressing out about being deported by the incoming Trump administration even though she is a legal, naturalized citizen.

“I might be deported because I’m a naturalized citizen!” Cardona exclaimed, citing Stephen Miller to say the administration will “embark on a denaturalization program.”

“So I could be deported. My citizenship could be taken away, and my children could be deported because they have birthright citizenship” she continued breathlessly.

“This is not what the country voted for. Let’s be very clear,” she continued her rant, claiming Trump was elected because voters wanted lower costs for groceries and other needs.

“What this country did not vote for is to deport the 11 million undocumented immigrants who do critical work for our economy,” she added.

Cardona’s fear-mongering was called out on X where social media users also added much needed context to the left’s complete misunderstanding of birthright citizenship.
