Oregon city authorities are looking for the hero who's been improving

Authorities in Bend, Oregon, were wide-eyed with disbelief when they found their beloved outdoor sculptures improved by the addition of hilarious googly eyes.

They didn’t spend thousands of taxpayer dollars for whatever this is just to have someone beautify it with giant, goofy eyeballs!

But they should have!

And it wasn’t just Zebold’s Orb 1 that got the treatment.

It was also Boyden’s Phoenix Rising:

And Big Ears by John Halko

Admittedly, that sculpture is pretty amazing.

But tell me the googly eyes don’t make it even better!

Despite the improvements donated without cost to the city, the government in Bend is demanding that the art improver cease and desist and that if anyone has any information regarding the artist’s identities, they rat out the genius.

We love our roundabout art in Bend, so let’s do our part to take care of it.

While the googly eyes placed on the various art pieces around town might give you a chuckle, it costs money to remove them with care to not damage the art.

While we don’t condone the wreaths, leis and Santa hats, let’s stay away from adhesives, graffiti, and all things that can damage the art.

So uhh…

They claim that the googly eyes have cost the city $1500 so far. Apparently that’s how much it costs to remove the adhesive goo gleefully holding the eyes in place.
