She came, she saw, she conquered.

Lara Trump, wife of Eric Trump and daughter-in-law of President-elect Donald Trump, is stepping down after her short tenure leading the Republican National Committee.

Some observers believe this is only a short detour on her way up the ladder.

Let Breitbart explain:

Republican National Committee (RNC) co-chair Lara Trump is stepping down from her party role as she considers replacing Florida Sen. Marco Rubio (R), whom her father-in-law, President-elect Trump, picked for secretary of state.

‘It is something I would seriously consider,’ she told the Associated Press in an interview, referring to serving in the Senate.

‘But yeah, I would 100 percent consider it.’

By all appearances, Lara Trump is vying for the empty Senate seat and it’s up to Gov. Ronny D to give it to her.

The message here is clear.

And, who knows, Lara made a great RNC co-chair. Who’s to say she won’t make a great lawmaker?

It’ll be interesting to see how DeSantis handles the pressure to fill that seat!
