Rap music superstar Jay-Z reacted to the stunning allegations that he raped a 13-year-old girl in 2000 along with his now-imprisoned buddy Sean “Diddy” Combs, insisting that he’s the victim of a blackmail scheme.

The rapper and entrepreneur whose real name is Shawn Carter has been accused of sexually assaulting the minor at an MTV Video Music Awards after-party in an October lawsuit that was refiled in New York on Sunday.

According to the anonymous accuser, Jay-Z “raped” her while Diddy and a person identified as “Celebrity B” watched, according to the documents that were reviewed by Fox News which reported that the lawsuit initially “stated Combs raped the minor while “Celebrity A” and “Celebrity B” watched. Carter was named as “Celebrity A” in the refiled lawsuit.”

In a blistering statement made through the 55-year-old rapper’s Roc Nation banner, Jay-Z accused lawyer Tony Buzbee of “blackmail” and vowed that he wouldn’t pay “ONE RED PENNY!!” over the “heinous” allegations.

“My lawyer received a blackmail attempt, called a demand letter, from a ‘lawyer’ named Tony Buzbee,” read the statement that was posted to Roc Nation’s X account on Sunday. “What he had calculated was the nature of these allegations and the public scrutiny would make me want to settle.”

“No sir, it had the opposite effect! It made me want to expose you for the fraud you are in a VERY public fashion. So no, I will not give you ONE RED PENNY!!” Jay-Z vowed.

“These allegations are so heinous in nature that I implore you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil one!! Whomever would commit such a crime against a minor should be locked away, would you not agree? These alleged victims would deserve real justice if that were the case,” the rapper said.

According to Fox News, the lawsuit says that Jay-Z “has been with Combs during many such instances described herein” and called for”both perpetrators must face justice.” The two men are alleged to be “so close that Combs stated in 2023 that Carter is the only person, other than Combs’ mother, who is allowed to call him by his legal first name of ‘Sean.’”

The two allegedly “took turns assaulting the minor,” the lawsuit states. “Many others were present at the afterparty, but did nothing to stop the assault.”

The suit claims that the girl who wanted to attend the 2020 MTV VMAs was dropped off at Radio City Music Hall by a friend and when trying to get access to the venue approached limousine drivers outside the event.

“One of the limousine drivers she spoke to claimed to work for [Diddy],” according to the lawsuit. “He told her that Combs liked younger girls and said she ‘fit what Diddy was looking for,’ not allowing her into the Awards, but inviting her to an afterparty.”

“This amended complaint and the recent extortion lawsuit against Mr. Buzbee exposes his barrage of lawsuits against Mr. Combs for what they are: shameless publicity stunts, designed to extract payments from celebrities who fear having lies spread about them, just as lies have been spread about Mr. Combs,” Diddy’s reps said in a statement to Fox News.

“As his legal team has said before, Mr. Combs has full confidence in the facts and the integrity of the judicial process. In court, the truth will prevail: that Mr. Combs never sexually assaulted or trafficked anyone—man or woman, adult or minor,” they said.
