President-elect Donald Trump and first lady Jill Biden, the wife of President Joe Biden, have made some noise together.

The pair were among world leaders and dignitaries to attend the reopening ceremony of the Notre Dame Cathedral in France on Saturday, five years after it was damaged by fire, and a photo of them caused a commotion on the Internet with many comments on X.

“Trump chats up Jill Biden at Notre Dame Cathedral reopening,” Conservative Brief Eitor-in-Chief Martin Walsh wrote on the X platform.

“Jill Biden definitely voted for Trump,” comedian Tim Young said

“Jill and Ashley Biden look like they’re absolutely in love with President Trump, Nick Sortor said.

“Find someone who looks at you the way Jill and Ashley Biden look at Donald Trump,” another said.

President Biden declined to attend the ceremony but the president-elect was present at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron , Fox News reported.

In November, former first lady Melania Trump turned down Jill Biden’s invitation to the traditional meeting of incoming and outgoing first ladies, but sources say she said no because she had to keep a commitment related to her book.

Jill Biden, the White House official said, “gave Mr. Trump a handwritten letter of congratulations for Mrs. Trump, which also expressed her team’s readiness to assist with the transition.”

It came before President-elect Donald Trump and President Biden held their highly anticipated meeting at the White House on Wednesday morning.

“Looking forward to having a smooth transition. Can make sure you’re accommodated, give you what you need,” President Biden said to the president-elect, adding “Welcome.”

Trump earnestly said: “Thank you, Thank you very much. And politics is tough and it’s in many cases not a very nice world, but it is a nice world today and I appreciate very much a transition that is so smooth, it’ll be as smooth as it can get, and I very much appreciate that, Joe.”

President Biden: “You’re welcome.”

Biden added: “Well, Mr. President-elect and former President Donald, congratulations, and looking forward to having a smooth transition.”

It was before another photo involving both of the Bidens and the president-elect caused a firestorm on the Internet.

A couple of photos taken of President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden, along with President-elect Donald Trump, have spread across social media, with many observers claiming that the current first couple looks happier than they have in quite some time.

Some have even suggested that they are pleased with the result of the election after suggesting that there is bad blood between Jill Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.

“Joe and Jill look very happy that Donald Trump will be the 47th President of the United States and not Kamala Harris,” former Trump adviser Steve Cortes wrote on X along with a photo of Trump and the Bidens.

It has been a busy month for the Biden family.

Following his unconditional pardon from President Biden, Hunter Biden is now facing allegations of owing over $300,000 in unpaid rent to former landlords.

Shaun Maguire, a partner at the venture capital firm Sequoia, reacted to news of the pardon on social media, claiming that the president’s son has accumulated substantial unpaid rent debts amounting to hundreds of thousands of dollars.

“So what happens to the $300k+ in back pay rent that Hunter Biden owes my family from 2019-2020? Is that pardoned now? Thanks Joe,” Maguire wrote in a post on X.

On Sunday, President Biden issued a “full and unconditional pardon” for his son Hunter Biden, covering any federal crimes committed or potentially committed between January 1, 2014, and December 1, 2024.

Hunter Biden has faced federal charges related to tax violations and allegations of providing false information about his substance abuse issues on a firearm background check form. The move marks a shift from President Biden’s earlier statements that he would not pardon his son.
